Landscape-Phenomenon, a project supported by the Bolsa Vitae de Artes, in 2003, investigates the sense of temporal and spatial duration of a landscape. They are two sets of photographic images, taken according to specific procedures, which, through crossings, displacements and sequences of views, present two attitudes towards the landscape. Here extracts the chronological time and leaves the moment pulsating through all the images, and Sea Level extracts the space and establishes the horizon like the common place of all the infinity. Both instant and infinite are immeasurable magnitudes that give light to our perception and leave reason bewildered.

Here is a set of eight photographs taken simultaneously from different viewpoints, all having in common the presence of the Santa Ifigênia viaduct, in São Paulo downtown – a dynamic space, with many pedestrians and vehicles, in different paths that intersect each other, and an intense flow in all directions. The photos were taken at 4:55 pm on April 1st, 2005. Three points were chosen on the viaduct, two points on one side and two points on the other side, providing lateral views at different distances, and an eighth point on the 34th floor of a neighboring building. The first image above shows the points location and the views direction when taking the photos.
